Originally the purpose of going was to attend my company’s retirees reunion in Penticton and so decided to tack on days on either end to explore the wine country with friends.

District Wine Village in Oliver, the surprise venue where everyone was bussed to for dinner as part of our reunion

The District Wine Village is where 16 new wineries show off their products (tastings), all in one location. They get to use the communal machinery to produce their products on site with room for 2-2500 cases each per year.

The balance of our time was spent checking out wineries in the area and visiting with friends that just recently moved to Oliver.
