Today we started out zigzagging across the North Atlantic between Greenland and Iceland. We were in search of a hole in the cloud so that we can experience the total solar eclipse. It didn’t seem that it was going to happen for us but…… the captain found it. It was so strange…. They told us it would be total darkness…..it was….138 seconds. They also told us that the temperature would drop dramatically (which I doubted it would). It did…. with wind. I am not sure if the wind was caused from being in the shadow or it just happened but …. It was colder by probably 6-8 degrees Celsius.
These are some of my pictures

love hearing about your travels Gail!
