I just thought I’d check the conversion of knots to kilometres per hour after I just read this morning that the winds yesterday were 90 km/hour.  I remember being told when we were on the ship, I think it was after leaving Hong Kong, that the winds were 60 knots/ hour.   That translates to 111 kms/hour.  No wonder it was really, really rough.
